To change the picture from it's original I firstly took away the background.  I took the background away because even though it was plain, it wasn't smooth and it wasn't how I wanted my magazine front cover to look.  Then to make them brighter in a darker sense I changed the levels of the photo which I played around with for a while.  I also changed the way the picture looked to make it almost cartoony, but it wasn't how music magazine's looked so I changed it back to this.
